World Needs To Unite Against Terrorism, India Has Always Fought Against It: PM Narendra Modi

Mumbai: While addressing in Gujarat on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today all countries of the world need to unite against terrorism, no one can benefit from terrorism and violence.

“Today all countries of the world need to unite against terrorism. No one can benefit from terrorism and violence. India has always fought against terrorism,” PM Modi said.

“The country can never forget that during the Pulwama attack some people were not sad at the sacrifice of the security personnel. At that time, these people were only doing politics … I request them not to do such politics in the interest of the nation,” he added.

He said that the way the truth (about the Pulwama attack in India) has been admitted to the Parliament of the neighboring country, has exposed the real faces of those who politicized the incident.

The Prime Minister further said that 130 crore Indians together honored the COVID19 warriors in the fight against this pandemic.

“The way the country has proved its collective potential during this time is unprecedented,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi also said that the country is improving new dimensions of unity as Jammu and Kashmir has gone on a new path of development.

PM Modi said, “Today Kashmir has gone on a new path of development … whether it is the restoration of peace in the Northeast or the steps taken for its development, the country is about new dimensions of unity.”

“Sardar Patel gave the present shape by unifying the diversity of the country, the power of India by uniting hundreds of princely states of the country. In 2014, we all started celebrating his birthday as a festival of the unity of India,” he added.

The Prime Minister kept saying that the entire nation is paying reverence to Sardar Patel, the Iron Man of the country today.

“The country has also seen the expansion of ‘Yagna’ by Sardar Patel to restore India’s cultural glory by rebuilding Somnath in Ayodhya. Today the nation has seen the Supreme Court’s decision on the Ram temple and is also looking grand Ram temple is being built, “said PM Modi.

PM Modi is on a two-day Gujarat tour, the first time since the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent lockout in March, to mark the National Unity Day celebrating the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.

Sardar Patel, who is credited with uniting all 562 princely states of the pre-independent country to build the Republic of India, passed away on December 15, 1950
