Biggest Question Facing The World Is How To Start Again: PM Narendra Modi
Mumbai: Coronavirus outbreak has changed everything world needs to reset everything the entire world worked in the new world order and changed itself, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister said that things like community celebrations, sports activities, education, and entertainment are not the same. The biggest question facing the whole world is how to start again.
“The restart will not be possible without a reset. A reset of mindset, processes, and practices. I think the historic reconstruction efforts after the two world wars can give us several lessons,” he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was delivering an address at the third Annual Bloomberg New Economy Forum.
“During the lockdown, many cities saw clear lakes, rivers, and wind. Many of us could hear the chirping sounds of birds that we had not seen before. Can’t we build sustainable cities where these features are the criteria and are not the exception? ” PM Modi said.
“It has been our endeavor in India to build urban centres which have the amenities of a city but the spirit of the village,” he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that the COVID-19 crisis has given us an opportunity to develop new protocols in every field, such as in the time after World War, the whole world worked in the new world order and changed itself.
“After the world wars, the whole world worked on the new world order and changed itself. COVID-19 has given us an equal opportunity to develop new protocols in every field. If we want to develop a resilience system for the future, this opportunity should be seized by the world,” PM Modi added.
Founded in 2018 by Michael Bloomberg, the Bloomberg New Economy Forum seeks to build a community of leaders to engage in discussions for actionable solutions to the key challenges facing the world economy.
The inaugural forum was held in Singapore, followed by a second edition in Beijing, covering issues such as global economic management, trade and investment, technology, urbanization, capital markets, climate change, and inclusion.
