A Day After Flagged Of By PM Modi Vande Bharat Express Faces Trouble

Mumbai: India’s first semi-high speed train Vande Bharat Express faces trouble on Saturday while returning from Varanasi to Delhi.

The first incident took place about 15 kilometres from Tundla Junction in Uttar Pradesh, in which officials called it a case of “skidding wheels”.

“This disruption seems to be due to a possible cattle race. The train was returning at night and there is a possibility of being in an uneven situation by running cattle.”

Railway spokesman Smita Vats Sharma said, this was not a business run, which is to start from Sunday.

North Railway CPRO Deepak Kumar said, “It was a case of skidding wheels after running a train on cattle.”

Meanwhile, after officials said that after eliminating the obstacles, the train started its journey at around 8:15 am in the morning.

However, after 40 minutes at Hathras junction it had to face the breakdown and after 10:20 in the morning the journey could start again and now it is running at a speed of less than 50 km per hour, PTI quoted sources saying.

Train 18, which was rechristened Vande Bharat Express by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, has been manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai
