A Day Before Last Phase Oppn Leaders Step Up Talks To Form Coalition

Mumbai: One day before the last phase of polling, leaders of opposition parties have hastened the alliance’s efforts to form the next government with the meeting of Congress, CPI leaders and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu and Congress President Rahul Gandhi discussed the possibility of uniting all opposition parties and making joint opposition coalition.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh also met the CPI leader G Sudhakar Reddy and D Raja on breakfast, and asked them to “come together”.

TDP chief has already discussed several rounds with various opposition leaders, including TMC supremo Mamta Banerjee, AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury.

As per reports Naidu also met NCP chief Sharad Pawar and LJD leader Sharad Yadav.

On Friday, Naidu had said that after being declared the election result of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) but against any saffron party, welcome to join a major coalition.
