Mumbai (Ghaziabad) : The AAP party leader Naveen Das was found dead in Uttar Pradesh. He body was burnt along with his car.
The vehicle was fired along with Das inside it. Police found the burnt car in isolated place in Bhopra on the road leading to Loni from Shibabad. The police estimated the fire to have occurred around 2.30 a.m.
According to police officials, Das’s body was found on driver seat. Also an unharmed mobile phone was recovered in which Whatsapp messages till 4.30 a.m. were found on it, the officer added.
However, the family has claimed that there is something fishy as the keys of the cars are missing. The family suspects that whoever carried out the crime might have called him to the deserted spot, locked him inside the car before torching the vehicle.
Hence, as the keys were missing, Das would have failed to roll down the power windows or escape by unlocking the doors.
