Ahemad Shehzad Gets 4 Months Ban By PCB For Overseeing Anti-Dope Test

Pune : Agreeing to the violations, Ahemad Shehzad accepts the ban clearing no direct intentions towards the same, nor for some extra benefits.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) imposed a ban of 4 months on Ahemad Shehzad from 10th July 2018 since he failed the doping test for taking illegal drugs. Random tests for Pakistan Cup domestic tournament claimed consumption of prohibited drug to gain unfair boosts in performances. He disobeyed 2 rules from the rulebook which he however admitted himself confessing he had no hard feelings of cheating from it. With embracing the ban till November, Shehzad will deliver speech for the anti doing practiced by PCB as part of rehab process.

Talking to PCB chairman, Ehsan Irani, he said “PCB has a zero tolerance policy towards doping in cricket and hopes that in future cricketers will exercise utmost care to ensure that no Prohibited Substances enter their system”. This isn’t first time for Pakistani players as ICC took same actions in February 2016 towards Yasir Shah, the leg spinner for failing doping tests. List further goes to Abdul Rehman, Reza Hassan, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Asif who were prohibited for ban in past.
