Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)’s Ajit Pawar took oath as the Deputy CM of Maharashtra on Sunday.
Pawar reached Raj Bhawan in Mumbai along with several NCP MLAs, including senior leaders of the party like Chhagan Bhujbal and Praful Patel.
The oath-taking ceremony took place in the presence of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis.

News agency ANI, while quoting sources, said that few MLAs – who accompanied NCP leader Ajit Pawar to Raj Bhawan – were ‘upset’ with Sharad Pawar’s ‘unilateral’ decision to share stage and ally with Rahul Gandhi at the opposition unity meet in Patna.
