Mumbai: On Monday, Home Minister Amit Shah held a brief meeting here with Maharashtra party leaders, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
During his visit to Mumbai, he also visited Chief Minister’s official residence ‘Varsha’ in the Malabar Hill region.
A party official said, “Shah’s meeting was confined only to the BJP leaders of the state and he also visited the Siddhivinayak temple in Prabhadevi here.”
He is also scheduled to visit Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Pandal in central Mumbai.
Shah addressed a rally in Solapur during the conclusion of the second phase of Fadnavis’ ‘Mahajanadesh Yatra’, a mass campaign ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections.
He said discussions were held in Solapur with Fadnavis, state BJP chief Chandrakant Patil and some other leaders and stayed there during the night.
On Monday, Shah travelled with Fadnavis to Mumbai where he again briefly met some state party leaders, he said.
