Mumbai: Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze, who was arrested in connection with the recovery of explosives from a vehicle outside ‘Antilia’, the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, was suspended from service on Monday.
Encounter expert Sachin Vaze was suspended a day after he was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the Ambani bombings case.
Sachin Waze was arrested at 11.50 am on Saturday morning by the investigating agency, which was investigating the recovery of an explosive-laden vehicle outside Mukesh Ambani’s house.
On Sunday, Sachin Vaze was produced before a court in South Mumbai, who later remanded him to NIA custody till March 25 for further investigation in the Ambani bombings case.
On 25 February, explosive gelatin sticks and a threatening Scorpio vehicle were found outside the Mumbai residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani. API Sachin Vaze was the first investigating officer in the Ambani bombings case and was later dropped. The investigation of the case was later taken over by the NIA.
