Anyone Who Attacks Police During COVID-19 Lockdown To Be Booked Under NSA: UP Gov
Mumbai: The Uttar Pradesh government has directed strict action under the National Security Act (NSA) against those attacking police personnel in the state amid a coronavirus lockdown.
Under the statement of the Yogi Adityanath-led government, the accused will be lodged under the NSA.
“Strict action will be taken against those who attack the police at any place in the state during Bharat Bandh. They will be lodged under the NSA,” he said.
Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh government had warned of stern action against the attacker on health workers or policemen.
In many parts of the country, locals, as well as COVID-19 patients, are attacking health workers and policemen visiting their areas to collect blood samples for the COVID-19 tests.
Three people were detained yesterday after stoning officers over a group of miscreants in the Tanda area of Rampur.
