“Aurangabad Should Renamed As Sambaji Nagar” Says Shiv Sena Leader Manisha Kayande
Mumbai : After Allahabad now it is turn for Aurangabad to change its name. Demand to change the name of Aurangabad to Sambaji Nagar and to rename Osamanabad as Dharasiv has been repeated from Shiv Sena again and again.
“The demand for the renaming of Aurangabad and Osmanabad into Sambaji Nagar and Dharasiv is not new for Shiv Sena. It has been our long standing demand” Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande said to ANI.
The demand for the name change from Shiv Sena is goes from long decades. “It has been raised several times but faced sheer opposition from the Congress and NCP because they wanted to appease of Muslim voters” Kayande added.
Earlier Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also stated that his government is also thinking over to change the name of Ahmedabad to Karnavati.
“We are contemplating changing the name of Ahmedabad to Karnavati, the talks of which have been going from long time back. Concrete steps will be taken after looking at it from legal and other angles. We will think about it in the time to come”Vijay Rupani said to ANI.
