‘BJP Will Contest Polls Alone’: Devendra Fadnavis Rest All Speculations On Patch Up Possibility With Shiv Sena

Thackeray attacked the Congress after Maharashtra President Nana Patole's statement that the MVA in the state was constituted for five years and not as a permanent fixture

Mumbai: Putting to rest all speculations about a pre-poll alliance, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday confirmed that his party will go it alone in the next assembly elections in Maharashtra.

Taking a jibe at the alleged infighting in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), the former Maharashtra chief minister said it was up to the ruling alliance partners to decide with whom they would make or break ties in the next elections.

“Our interest lies with the people. The BJP works for the welfare of the people,” he said.

If we don’t give solutions to people’s problems, but They only talk about contesting elections. Elections. In politics, people do this, beat them with chappals.”
