Combating COVID: PM Modi Interacts With Thailand PM Prayut Chan-o-cha Over Phone

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with Prayut Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister of Thailand.

The two exchanged words about the measures and strategies being applied to contain the spread in their respective countries. The PM talked about the effectiveness of cooperation among the countries globally to the fight against the pandemic.

“Discussed issues related to COVID-19 pandemic with good friend @prayutofficial. As neighbors with deep-rooted historical and cultural links, India and Thailand will work together to deal with the multifarious challenges posed by this present crisis”, tweets PM Modi.

They also agreed to the benefits of collaboration between researchers, innovators, and scientists. PM Modi assured to provide support to the Thai Government in aiding its Pharmaceutical requirements and has assured to continue such support.

Thailand, at present witnesses 2,966 cases of coronavirus with 2,732 recoveries and 54 fatalities.
