Committed To Make US-India Partnership Among The Closest On Earth: Biden To PM Modi

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden held bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Quad Summit on Tuesday.

In bilateral talks with PM Modi, US President Joe Biden said, “There is a lot that our countries can and will do together. I am committed to making the US-India partnership one of the closest we have on earth.”

“I am pleased that we have reached an agreement for the US Development Finance Corporation to continue this important work in India, supporting the vaccine production, and clean energy initiative. I’m glad we’re renewing the Indo-US Vaccine Action Program,” said Biden.

“We also discussed the ongoing effects of Russia’s brutal and unjustified invasion of Ukraine and the impact on the entire global world order. The US-India is going to continue to consult closely on how to mitigate these negative effects,” he added.

“Prime Minister, there is so much that our countries can and will do together. I’m committed to making US-India partnership among the closest we have on earth,” Biden told PM Modi.

“We participated in a positive and fruitful Quad Summit today. The India-US partnership is truly a partnership of trust. Our shared interests and values have strengthened this bond of trust between our two countries.

PM Modi said, “We share similar views on the Indo-Pacific, working bilaterally and with like-minded countries to protect our shared concerns. Our discussions today will accelerate this positive momentum.”

“Our people-to-people ties & strong economic cooperation make India-US partnership unique. Our trade & investment relations are also steadily on the rise but they’re below our potential,” the prime minister added.

“I’m confident that with the conclusion of the US Investment Incentive Agreement we will see concrete progress in investment between our two countries,” PM Modi said.
