Coronavirus Cases In India Rise To 492

Mumbai: According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India has risen to 492. Out of 492, 451 are Indian citizens, while the remaining 41 are foreigners.

The total number of people who recover, discharge or flee is 37. So far 9 people have died in India.

The central government has taken several steps to prevent the rapid spread of the virus, including stopping passenger traffic coming to 107 immigration checkpoints at all airports, seaports, land ports, rail ports and riverine ports.

The 548 districts in the country have a complete lockdown affecting several hundred million people. Indian Railways has also cancelled all passenger train operations till 31 March.
