Covid-19: India Crosses 70 Thousand Mark, Reports 3,604 Cases In Last 24 Hours

Mumbai: India’s Covid-19 figure surged to 70,756 as the country reports 3,604 fresh cases on Tuesday. The death toll is at 2,293.

The country had witnessed its biggest jump just yesterday reporting over 4 thousand cases in a day. The number has declined but yet outrageous as it was expected to decline. 

The country has 46,008 active cases and around 22,454 people have been recovered and discharged, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Going through the state by state analysis, Maharashtra retains the highest mark with 22,171 cases and Gujarat with 8,194 cases.

Tamil Nadu has seen a great surge in the number. The state reports 669 fresh cases taking the toll to 7,204. Tamil Nadu has become the third most affected state in the country followed by Delhi.

The country is in the state of lockdown since 24th March and may go further with considerable relaxation in the future.
