US Secretary Of State Mike Pompeo Spoke To Foreign Ministers Of Other Countries Regarding Covid-19 Situation
Mumbai: United States Secretary of State, Michael R. Pompeo spoke with the Foreign Ministers of Australia, Brazil, India, Israel, Japan, and the Republic of Korea on 11th May through a video conference to address the global situation of Covid-19 pandemic.
Pompeo and his counterparts brought in essential topics with respect to the alarming situation of the world. They discussed the importance of international cooperation, transparency, and accountability in combating the COVID-19 pandemic and in addressing its causes, according to Morgan Ortagus, Spokesperson for the US State.
Throwing lights on the matter Morgan further said that They also discussed collaboration toward preventing future global health crises, reaffirming the importance of the rules-based international order.
The world is currently witnessing a significant upsurge in the number of Covid-19 related deaths with 285 thousand fatalities. The total tally has reached 4.1 million including 1.4 million recoveries.
