COVID-19 Recovery Rate In India Improves To 20.57 pc, +ve Tally Reaches 23,077

Mumbai: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Friday that a total of 4,748 people in India have recovered from coronovirus so far, with a recovery rate of 20.57 percent.

Luv Aggarwal, joint secretary in the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry, said on Friday that a total of 1,684 new cases of coronovirus have been identified, confirming 23,077 cases in the country.

The recovery rate of coronovirus was kept at 19.89 percent on Thursday by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Addressing a press conference here, Aggarwal said: “With 1,684 new cases, there are 23,077 positive cases in India so far. So far, 4,748 people have recovered including 419 people who recovered yesterday. This takes our recovery rate to 20.57 per cent.”

Aggarwal said that in the last 28 days, no new cases have come up in 15 districts.

“To date, there are 80 districts in the country that have not registered any new cases in the last 14 days. The collective efforts of the people and the administration are breaking the chain of transmission. We should see that the green zone districts maintain the status of no new cases and also, new districts get added into this category,” he added.
