Mumbai: Largely hit by the coronavirus pandemic, the United States records over 2,000 fatalities in a day as per the AFP news agency.
This is the third consecutive day of such a wide figure in the US as it recorded 2,207 on Tuesday and 2,502 on Wednesday.
America is predicted to surpass the stats of the deadliest flu of 2017-18 that caused 61,000 deaths according to the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.
The US conducts around 5 million tests per day as per the rhetoric of President Donald Trump.
However, the United States has the world’s largest figure of 1.09 million cases, 128 thousand recoveries, and 63,538 fatalities.
