Mumbai: Breaking away from the WHO, Donald Trump says WHO should be “ashamed of itself” to be “like a PR Agency to China”. The oratorical statement came after the US stopped funding WHO.
He also alleged that the origin of Coronavirus is one but Wuhan Institute of Virology and they have purposely released it to the world due to some “horrible Mistake”.
“Whether it’s a lot more, it doesn’t matter. They shouldn’t be making excuses when people make horrible mistakes, especially mistakes that are causing hundreds of thousands of people around the world to die”, says the US President.
The US Administration has however stopped funding the WHO. They had earnestly donated $500 million annually as compared to $38 million.
The US Secretary, Mike Pompeo proclaimed that the WHO ‘failed’ to do its only job, that is to control the pandemic.
