Delhi Air Quality Moves To ‘Very Poor’ Category

Mumbai: Air quality in the national capital “deteriorated” on Thursday due to falling temperatures, high humidity, and cool winds.

The air quality index in the city crossed the 300 marks for the first time in 11 days and reached 339 at 8 am.

AQI between the range of 51 and 100 is called ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 is called ‘moderate’, 201-300 is considered ‘poor’, 301-400 falls in ‘very poor’ Category while 401-500 ard falls into the ‘dangerous’ category.

Pollution levels in a few areas, including Jahangirpuri (405), Rohini (404) and Nehru Nagar (406) shot up to severe levels.
