Donald Trump Is A Wrong President For Our Country: Michelle Obama

Mumbai: Former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama slammed President Donald Trump on Monday calling him “the wrong president” and saying that people are “living with the consequences” of the 2016 presidential election.

“So, let me be as honest and clear as possible. Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country. He has enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he’s clearly off the top of his head. He can’t be found at the moment. He simply cannot be who we need him to be for us. It is what it is,” CNN reported quoting the former first lady.

Obama further noted that in the 2016 US presidential election, many people “chose to believe that their votes did not matter” and sent the lack of votes “to the Oval Office that lost the national popular vote”.

“As I have said before, being a president does not change who you are; It tells who you are. Well, a presidential election can reveal who we are. And four years ago, many people chose to believe that their votes did not matter. Perhaps they were fed up. Perhaps he thought the result would not be close. Perhaps they were fed up. Perhaps he thought the result would not be close. Maybe the odds are too low. Whatever the reason, in the end, those choices sent someone to the Oval Office who lost the national popular vote by nearly 3,000,000 votes,” she said.

Obama went ahead in an attacking mode and said that people are “living with the consequences” of the 2016 presidential elections.

Obama said, “In states that determine results, the winning margin is equal to an average of two votes per two votes. And we are all living with the results.”

The former First Lady accused Trump of “showing lack of sympathy”.

“Right now, kids in this country are watching what happens when we stop needing each other’s sympathy. They are looking around if we have been lying all this time about who we are and we are really What do I value,” she said.

The US Presidential elections are scheduled to take place on November 3
