‘Ghar Aapka Gujarat, Agaye Dilli’: Congress MP Calls PM Modi, Amit Shah ‘Ghuspethiye’ In NRC Debate

Mumbai: Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah “intruders” and “migrants” in Delhi. The Congress leader also said PM Modi and Amit Shah are migrants since they have their homes in Gujarat but they are now living in Delhi. Congress veteran Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Sunday mounted a verbal attack.

“They themselves are migrants,” Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Congress leader in Lok Sabha, said.

“India is for everyone and it is not any individual’s personal property. Everybody has equal rights to it. Amit Shah, Narendra Modi, it is you who are infiltrators. Your home is in Gujarat and you came to Delhi, you yourself are migrants,” he said.

It’s not the first time, he frequently opposed the government and proposed against exercise to filter out ‘illegal immigrants’ in the country.

Earlier too, the leader of the Congress in Lok Sabha, Chowdhury, had been the highlight of controversies during the central government’s move to abrogate Article 370 of the constitution. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had reported;y claimed that taking such a step was not an internal matter of India, but he later said that he was seeking clarification from the government and his statement was misunderstood.

Miffed at the exclusion of 1.9 million in Assam, Congress leader earlier said that the government should also conduct NRC in Parliament. The Centre came out with the list on August 31. 19 lakh people who could not produce the requisite citizenship papers until the stipulated date has published in the final list of NRC.

The Centre wants to apply it pan-India in order to identify illegal immigrants.
