Gujarat Reports 954 New COVID Cases, 2 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

Mumbai: On Tuesday, 954 new coronavirus cases were reported in Gujarat, taking up to 2,80,051 casinos by the state’s health department.

It has been said that two COVID-19 patients died during the day in Ahmedabad, leading to the death of 4,427 people in the state so far.

On the other hand, 703 COVID-19 patients were discharged, while the number of cases recovered could be 2,70,658.

The state’s recovery rate was 96.65 per cent. The number of active cases is 4,966, of which 58 patients are on ventilators.

The department said that on Tuesday, 1,72,313 individuals were administered COVID-19 vaccines, including 1,41,270 beneficiaries of the priority group of people above 60 and those above 45, but suffering from comorbidities.

This increased the number of people taking the first dose of the vaccine to 22,15,092. A total of 5,42,981 people have also received their second dose.

In the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, the total number of COVID-19 cases increased to 3,416 with five new cases. The recovered cases also rose to 3,388 with nine recoveries.

Officials said there are now 26 active cases in UT, with two COVID-19 deaths.
