Have No Information On Sidhu’s Resignation’: Punjab CM Charanjit Channi

Punjab former CM Captain Amarinder Singh tweeted, and said he told he is not a stable and fit man for the state of Punjab

Mumbai: After, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s resigned as Punjab Congress chief on Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that he had no information about this. He, however, asserted that he has full faith in Sidhu.

When asked about Sidhu’s resignation, Channi said, “I have no information.”

“I have full confidence and faith in Sidhu Sahab,” he added.

In a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi, he wrote, “The collapse of a man’s character stems from the compromise corner, I can never compromise on Punjab’s future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab.”

On Sidhu’s resignation, former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh tweeted, “I told you so… he is not a stable man and not fit for the border state of Punjab.”

It is learnt that Sidhu was upset over the non-inclusion of the MLAs of his choice in the expanded Cabinet and the appointment of the new Advocate General, A.P.S. Deol.
