Mumbai: BJP MP Hema Malini, raising the issue of attack on doctors on Thursday, said that they are assaulted by “lynch mobs with impunity” and demanded a strict law to protect them.
Taking this issue during the Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, MP representing Mathura constituency, recently referred to cases of attack on doctors in West Bengal, which started a nationwide strike.
Putting the light on the difficulties presented by doctors, he said that he has to work for 48 hours sometimes.
She said, “Lynch mobs are attacking doctors.”
Doctors are next to God and do not discriminate between their patients on the basis of caste, religion or creed.
The actress said, “There should be strict law to protect the medical community.”
She also highlighted the lack of doctors in the country.
