“I Want To Work For Madhya Pradesh,” Shivraj Singh

Mumbai: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, while expressing his reluctance to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, said that he wants to work in the state.

There are reports that Chauhan, who is also the Vice-President of BJP, can land in the fray from one of the seats, but the party leadership has not yet made any official comment.

“I said that my desire is to work in Madhya Pradesh. I will accept whatever decision the party will take,” Shivraj said told to reporters when asked if he would be contesting the general election.

BJP has yet to declare its candidates for many seats in Bhopal and Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh.

Chauhan remained the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for 12 years and is a member of the Parliamentary Board of BJP, its highest decision-making body.
