Mumbai: Former India World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev, who underwent angioplasty last month, greeted fans on the occasion of Diwali on Friday, said he is healthy and his heart is working well.
Kapil was admitted to the hospital on 23 October after complaining of chest pain. He then underwent angioplasty and was discharged on 25 October.
“Happy Dipawali to everybody and I hope this year brings lots and lots of happiness to everybody. Thanks for your wishes. I am healthy and happy. The heart is working good but I want to wish everybody lots and lots of happiness around the world,” the veteran cricketer said in a video posted on his official Twitter handle.

Last month, he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to a hospital where he underwent an emergency angioplasty.
He was back home in a few days and has since informed and updated his fans about his health status and started a job as a TV analyst for a prestigious channel.
