INC Spokesperson Lashed Out On BJP Saying The Governance Is Full Of Tyranny And Anarchy

Mumbai: The INC spokesperson Manish Tewari on Wednesday during a media briefing lashed out at the BJP and boiled down the BJP governance in three words: tyranny, chaos, and anarchy. He said, “It’s been 96 days since the second BJP-NDA Govt assumed office. Three words that characterize this time period- tyranny, chaos, and anarchy

He said that the Indian economy had hit a record low of 5% in the last six years.“Today economic growth is at 5% but it is not only 5% which is a cause of concern. Today the fundamentals of Indian economy are being subverted,” he said.

“The PM says the fundamentals of the Indian economy are strong, the Home Min reiterates the statement. But has someone ever really questioned what does it mean when you refer to the fundamentals of the Indian economy,” said Manish Tewari.

“Unlike China, India is essentially a private economy and except for govt expenditure and govt investment, there is absolutely no confidence or faith which people or investors have left in the Indian economy,” he added.

He further added that the fundamentals of the country are messed up, the GDP of agriculture has dropped to 14%, a sector which provides employment to about 65% of the Indian population.

“That is why the share of agriculture in our GDP has dropped to a record low of 14%. Agriculture which provides employment and sustenance to 65% of India’s people.”

As per the announcement made by the Parle company that the people were not even able to afford a Parle product that just cost Rs. 5. “Core Indian Industries, the manufacturing sector, is growing at 2.1% only because there’s no demand. People in rural India don’t even have a surplus of ₹ 5 to buy a pack of parle G. There’s no disposable income available with people.

Tewari further pointed out the condition of Assam and said that around 19 lakh people are rendered as stateless because of the NRC draft. He asked the government for the endgame scheme that would decide the fate of those people. The arrest of D.K Shivakumar is the latest example of the vendetta ways of the center.

“D K Shivakumar’s only crime was that he provided protection to those Congress MLAs in Gujarat who were being poached by the BJP-NDA during Rajya Sabha elections last year,”

Manish Tewari went on to say that Congress could not be cowed down or intimidated by any force and we will always work to maintain the democracy in the country.

“Congress won’t be cowed down, intimidated, as the premier political party of India. We’ll continue to ask hard questions, agitate and keep democracy alive in this country. We’ll not allow democracy to be stifled by intimidation being perpetrated by the BJP-NDA govt.”
