Mumbai: Following their 3-0 series victory against West Indies, India have become the world number one T20I team after six years.
As per the latest update, India is on top of the rankings with 10,484 points and 269 rating points.
While both England and India have the same rating (269), India has a total of 10,484 points, 10 more than England’s 10,474.

Pakistan (266 ratings), New Zealand (255) and South Africa (253) are out of the top five, while Australia (249) are sixth after a 4-1 series win over Sri Lanka.
With a 17-run victory in the third T20I, India went on to win the three-match T20I series 3–0. Earlier, the Men in Blue had also defeated West Indies 3-0 in the ODI series.
India’s next match will be against Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series starting on Thursday.
Suryakumar Yadav’s innings of 65 was backed by a scintillating bowling performance as India thrashed West Indies by runs in the third and final T20I here on Sunday.
Harshal Patel took three while Venkatesh Iyer also took two wickets.
Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav (65) and Venkatesh Iyer (35*) performed brilliantly with the bat as India posted 184/5 in the allotted twenty overs. In the last five overs, the hosts managed to add a total of 86 runs, taking the score past 180.
Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav formed a 91-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
