India Reports Lowest Daily COVID-19 Cases In 69 Days As 91,702 Test Positive
Mumbai: According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MohFW), India on Friday reported 91,702 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest one-day rise in the number of cases since April 3.
India has now reported less than 1 lakh coronavirus cases for the fourth successive day.
Meanwhile, India reported 3,403 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours, with new deaths pushed India’s Covid-19 death toll to 3,63,079, while the total recoveries surged to 2,77,90,073.
The total COVID tally in the country is 2,92,74,823. According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 11,21,671 cases are currently active in the country.
Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) today informed that a total of 37,42,42,384 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till June 10. Of these, 20,44,131 samples were tested yesterday.
The Health Ministry had on Thursday informed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has exceeded 24.58 crores. It said 18,64,234 and 77,136 beneficiaries in the 18-44 age group received their first and second dose of the vaccine yesterday.
