India Reports Over 900 COVID-19 Deaths, 43,393 New Cases In Last 24 Hours
Mumbai: According to the Ministry Of Health, India reported 43,393 new cases and 911 more deaths due to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Friday.
With this, the country’s COVID caseload and the death toll reached 30,752,950 and 405,939 respectively.
At least 44,459 people have been cured of the viral disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 29,888,284. Active cases have come down to 458,727 and account for 1.50 per cent of the caseload.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Friday said that a total of 427,016,605 samples have been tested so far for the COVID-19 disease, of which 1,790,708 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
A total of 364,847,549 doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 have been administered to people so far of which 295,889,870 have received the first dose and 68,957,679 have received both doses. Over 3.38 million beneficiaries were inoculated in the past 24 hours.
