India Win Gold In Men’s Cricket At Asia Due To Higher Ranking As Final Gets Washed Out

Mumbai: India has bagged a gold medal in men’s cricket at the 19th Asian Games due to their superior ranking over Afghanistan as the final between the two nations got washed out due to rain. A

Afghanistan was 112/5 in 18.2 overs when rain interrupted play. India is the top-ranked men’s T20I side, while Afghanistan is ranked tenth.

Arshdeep Singh and Shivam Dube, both seamers, each claimed one wicket. Additionally, Shahbaz Ahmed and Ravi Bishnoi took wickets. Afghanistan initially batted, however, they quickly lost wickets.
