India’s Covid-19 Tally Surges To 52,952, Death Toll At 1,783

Mumbai: Battling the Covid-19, India has left no stone unturned. From ramping up of medical facilities to educating people about the virus and its impacts, India has been well efficient to contain the spread of the novel Coronavirus.

The figure of Covid-19 cases has crossed the 50 thousand mark and has reached 52,952, including 15,266 recoveries and 1,783 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Currently, there are 35,902 active cases in India battling with the novel virus. The country saw its biggest single-day jump on Wednesday.

Most of the cases are revived from Maharashtra (16,758), followed by Gujarat (6,625) and Delhi (5,532).

The country has been under lockdown since 24th March 2020. Today is the 44th day of the second extended lockdown period after certain relaxations authorized by the MHA.
