IPL 2020: KXIP Will ‘Make Things Right’ In Next Game’ Says Head Coach Anil Kumble

Mumbai: Yesterday it was a thriller night as Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab showed brilliant performance following which the match went for a super over.

Overall KXIP was dominating throughout the game but Marcus Stoinis all-round performance for DC brought them back in the game and turned the table and secured 2 points for the team.

Meanwhile, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) head coach Anil Kumble said that the team will be able to correct whatever little things needed to do on the field in the next game.

Kumble said, “We are proud of the way we played today. The game was taken out in the last three overs when we bowled, but having said that once we were five down 155/5 to sort of win the game. Mayank batted brilliantly.”

“Really disappointing to the end. Maybe we should have won the game. Unfortunately, it went into a super over and when you go to the super over, you at least need 10-12 runs that didn’t happen. Delhi also played well. We left them off the hook a little bit, but said that for the first game of the tournament, I’m really satisfied with the way things happened,” he added.

Delhi Capital defeated KXIP in the Super Over in the IPL on Sunday. Both teams scored 157 runs in the stipulated 20 overs which drew the match in the super over.

Stoinis bowled a dot ball before taking two wickets off the last two deliveries, taking the match into the Super Over. Agarwal was dismissed after scoring 89 runs off 60 balls.
