Israeli PM’s Aide Tests +ve For Coronavirus, Had Attended Parliament With Leader

Mumbai: A colleague of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has tested positive for coronavirus, but preliminary findings suggest he did not have a 70-year-old leader at risk of infection, officials said on Monday.

As a routine precaution, he said Netanyahu was to undergo a coronavirus test by Tuesday. In a previous trial, the premier was found to be negative on 15 March.

Israel’s Ministry of Health regulations generally requires 14-day self-isolation for someone deemed in close proximity with a carrier.

The Israeli official said Netanyahu has been following medical advice and holding most meetings by video-conference.
