Karnataka: IT Raids At CM Kumaraswamy’s Closest Assistance Property

Mumbai: Officials from the Tax department is fielded raids at the residential address of Nagarathna Swamy in Maddur who is Zilla panchayat President and Janata Dal (secular) leader.

According to the sources, raids are also been conducted at two firms that belong to Nagarathna in Someshwara Fertiliser and Sawmill with these Raids are been carried at Timme Swamy’s premises who is Zilla Panchayat member.

Nagarathna and Timme are both said to be close the assistance of Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.

In Hassan and Bangalore, the IT department is carrying out searches.

In Hassan total 5 residents and in 1 in Mandya is been are been searched by the IT department, along with their business premises.

IT department said, “The searches today are based on reliable intelligence that certain businessman has not disclosed to the tax of their earned income and are in ownership of undisclosed assets”.

It added saying, “Real estate, stone crushing, operating petrol pumps, government executive contracts, sawmill and managing co-operative banks are the sectors where the taxpayers are engaged and led to the formation of black money”.

A month back, CRPF personnel and IT department had conducted raids at CS Puttaraju’s residential address who is Karnataka Minor irrigation minister and also at several locations such as in Bengaluru, Musuru, Mandya and Hassan.

Further with this 17 contractors and 7 officers from the Public works Department (PWD) and from the Irrigation Department are the sectors where also raids were conducted.
