Mumbai: A fresh ceasefire from Pakistan troops along the Line of Control targeting forward post and village in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman quoted by PTI saying.
He said that after the strong and effective counteraction by the Indian Army in the Naushera Sector of Rajouri district, the latest ceasefire violation occurred.
The spokesman said that the Pakistani army started firing mortar shells and fired with the small arms and started violating the ceasefire.
However, there was no immediate report of casualties from any side of the Indian side, he said, the cross-border firing was continuing when the final report was received.
Four persons were killed and many others were injured, including three members of a family, in more than 60 ceasefire violations on LoC in special twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch in particular last week.
