Latest Rankings For Test Batsmen Out, Kane Williamson Back At no. 1

Mumbai: The ICC today released the latest rankings for Test batsmen, with New Zealand captain Kane Williamson regaining his number one position by displacing former Australia captain Steve Smith.

Williamson is on top with 901 rating points and Smith is in the second position with 891 rating points.

The 30-year-old’s unbeaten 49 and 52 not out in the low-scoring World Test Championship final against India helped them move above 900 points and now have a 10-point lead over Steve Smith (891 rating points).

Williamson, who replaced Smith two weeks ago, is back in the position he first achieved during a series against Australia in November 2015.

Ross Taylor, who scored an unbeaten 47 and shared an unbroken 96-run partnership with Williamson, jumped three places to reach 14th, while left-hander Devon Conway top-scored at 42nd with 52 first. Found 18 places to reach the spot. Indian Naval Ship.
