Long Journey time Is Over Now, 3265 Trains Sent Till Yesterday; Says Railway Minister Piyush Goyal

Mumbai: Union Railways Minister Piyush Goyal said on Tuesday that 3265 trains carrying migrants have been sent in different parts of the country until yesterday.

Addressing a press conference Goyal said, “3265 trains have been sent until yesterday. Almost all trains up to 23rd May have reached their destination, 1-2 trains going far away into northeast are still on the run.”

On 24th, Railways sent 238 trains, that will mostly reach by Tuesday evening. Now Long journey time is over, he further added.

Denying over the rumours that “Shramik Special” trains have lost directions and taking 7-9 days of time, Goyal said that, “Reports that trains are taking 7 days, 9 days are baseless, false & are completely motivated to damage the huge effort that my Railway employees, working day & night without sleep, are making to transport the migrants.”

Over 44 Lakh Migrant workers have been sent to their native states by special ‘Shramik Trains’, said Railways today.
