Maha: Lockdown Imposed In Nagpur From March 15-21 Due To COVID-19; Only Essential Services Will Be Allowed
Mumbai: In view of the increasing COVID-19 cases in Nagpur, the authorities on Thursday announced a complete lockout in the city of Maharashtra from March 15 to 21.
According to Nagpur’s Guardian Minister Nitin Raut, only essential services, such as vegetable shops and milk booths, would remain open during the bandh.

Lockdown will be done in all areas under the Nagpur Police Commissionerate.
In Nagpur district, 1,110 new cases were registered on Wednesday, the highest spike in one day after 1,13 days.
Weekly analysis of cases by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation has shown that the number of COVID-19 cases is increasing among women and in the age group of 21-40 years.
Meanwhile, 13,659 new coronovirus cases were reported in Maharashtra on Wednesday, the largest spike of a day in 2021. The death toll of COVID-19 in Maharashtra is 52,610.
On October 8, 13,395 cases were reported in Maharashtra, after which the number of daily COVID-19 cases was reduced. There are 99,008 active cases in Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, Mumbai’s COVID-19 tally has increased to 3,37,134 and the fatal number is 11,515.
