Maha: Man Murdered By Wife, Her Boyfriend After He Discovered Their Illicit Relationship

Mumbai: A 30-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his 22-year-old wife and her lover in Maharashtra’s Thane district after she came to know about their illicit affair.

According to the police, Lakshmi Patil, a resident of Manpadagaon in Thane, had lodged a complaint on June 4 that her husband Praveen Patil had gone missing. After this, the police started an investigation to trace Pravin.

During the investigation, the police came to know that Laxmi, who is an auto driver by profession, was in contact with Sunny Sagar and Arvind alias Mari Ravindra Ram just before the husband went missing. Interrogation of both the men revealed that Laxmi had an extramarital affair with Arvind. Laxmi decides to kill Pravin after learning about her relationship with Arvind.

Laxmi and Arvind thrashed Pravin badly with an iron rod and then strangled him. A report published by the Times of India said, “Later, Laxmi covered a distance of 36 km and with the help of two others dumped her husband’s body in a culvert.”

On Wednesday, the police arrested the accused and recovered the mutilated body of the victim.
