Maharashtra: 6,741 New COVID-19 Cases in Pune District

Mumbai: A Health Department official said on Wednesday evening that 6,741 new coronavirus cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in the Pune district.

He said that during this period the death toll in the district rose to 9,682, in which 42 patients died.

Of the 61 cases, 3,509 were found in the Pune Men’s Corporation Limit. 1,410 patients were also discharged from the city’s hospitals.

The official said 1,865 new cases were found in the neighbouring Pimpri Chinchwad area.

Maharashtra is the worst affected state in the country with 31,855 new coronavirus cases reported yesterday. The state government also confirmed that it topped the list regarding the number of vaccine supplements.
