Maharashtra Exempts Print Media From Lockdown, Prohibits Newspaper Delivery

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government announced on Saturday that the print media would be exempted from Coronavirus lockdown from April 20, but said door-to-door delivery of newspapers and magazines would be prohibited.

The Maharashtra government said in an order issued today, “Print media has been exempted from lockdown with effect from April 20, 2020. However, on the door-to-door distribution of newspapers and magazines, the extent of circulation of COVID-19 Looking at it, there is a restriction. ”

The decision was announced in the Appendix to the revised guidelines for measures to be taken for the prevention of coronavirus in the state.

It added, “The commissioners of all departments and the directors of the directorate will attend office with 10 per cent of their employees.”

The state government on Friday released a list to allow all activities including all health services, all agricultural and horticultural activities from April 20 in non-hotspots.

This comes after the days when the central government issued the necessary guidelines to be implemented from April 20 during the lockout, which was extended to May 3.

Maharashtra is the worst-affected State with a total of 3,323 cases, of which 331 patients have recovered after treatment while 201 others have lost their lives.
