Mumbai: TMC president and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee to attend PM Narendra Modi’s oath-taking ceremony on Thursday.
She told the media on Tuesday, “I have also talked to other Chief Ministers since it is a formal program, we thought about attending it. Yes, I will go.”
Both leaders had engaged in a war of words during the campaign period for elections, in which BJP has encroached upon 18 of the 42 Lok Sabha seats in the Trinamool region in West Bengal. TMC wins in 2014 from 22 in 2019 to 22.
Modi will take oath for a second term as Prime Minister at 7 PM on Thursday at Rashtrapati Bhavan, along with members of the Union Council of Ministers.
