Mayawati, Owaisi Contributed To BJP’s Win In UP: Sanjay Raut

Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Friday said that BSP chief Mayawati and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi contributed to BJP’s win in 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

“BJP achieved a great victory. UP was their state, still, Akhilesh Yadav’s seats have increased 3 times, from 42 to over 125. Mayawati and Owaisi have contributed to BJP’s win, so they must be given Padma Vibhushan, Bharat Ratna”

Notably, the BSP, considered a strong political party in Uttar Pradesh, won only one assembly seat, while Owaisi’s AIMIM failed to open its account. Also Read: Muslims Also Voted For BJP In UP, Claims RSS Affiliate

He also praised Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav as his party grew three times.

The SP had won 111 assembly seats in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh elections, the results of which were declared on Friday. The Yadav-led organization was successful in capturing only 42 constituencies in the 2017 elections.

In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP returned to power by securing 255 seats, defeating its main rival, the Samajwadi Party.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded Yogi Adityanath after the BJP secured a majority in Uttar Pradesh and announced that the election results would set the stage for the BJP’s victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Adityanath also praised PM Modi and hit out at the Opposition accusing it of leading a “misleading” campaign for 203 days before the UP election result was announced.
