Men Gangrape Woman & Her 6-Yr-Old Daughter In A Moving Car In Uttarakhand

Mumbai: A man and his friends allegedly gangraped a woman and her six-year-old daughter in a moving car after offering them a lift and dumped them near a canal in Uttarakhand’s Roorkee, police said.

Police said the woman was on her way to her home from Piran Kaliyar, a Muslim religious place with her six-year-old daughter, when a man identified as Sonu offered her a lift, as reported by PTI.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Pramendra Doval said some friends of the man were already in the car.

According to the complainant woman, Sonu and his friends allegedly raped the woman and her minor daughter by giving them a lift in a moving car and dumped them near a canal.

Police said though the victim woman could not tell how many men were in the car, she said that the man driving the vehicle was called Sonu by others.

Police said the woman and her daughter were admitted to the Roorkee Civil Hospital, and their medical examination confirmed rape. Police have also registered a case in connection with the incident and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.

However, they have not been able to trace the men, as per the PTI report.
