Mohan Yadav Named Next CM Of Madhya Pradesh As 4-Time CM Shivraj Chouhan Dropped

Mumbai: Mohan Yadav has been named the next Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh after BJP dropped four time CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The BJP announced that the 58-year-old OBC leader had been elected as the party’s legislative leader in Madhya Pradesh during an evening meeting in Bhopal that was attended by central observers.

Yadav was the education minister in the previous government led by Chouhan and a three-term member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Ujjain.

Yadav holds an MBA, a PhD, and a law degree, according to the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha website.

He began his career at Ujjain with the ABVP, holding several positions and moving up the student organization’s ladder.

From 2011 to 2013, he served as the head of the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation. After being elected as an MLA for the first time in 2013, he started his political career. In the 2018 assembly elections, he was re-elected.

He was awarded by the President of India in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 for promoting tourism in Madhya Pradesh.
