Monsoon To Hit Kerala A Week Late On June 8

Mumbai: India’s Meteorological Department said on Wednesday that there may be a delay in the beginning of monsoon and now it is expected to reach June 8.

“To move towards the favorable conditions for the beginning of the southwest monsoon, there is the possibility of moving slowly towards the north-east, in Kerala, there is a possibility of moving ahead southwest monsoon around June 8. Next 3 During the 4-day period, there is a possibility of moving south-west monsoon in parts of North-Eastern States,” The IMD said in its monsoon bulletin.

On Saturday, private weather forecaster Skymet too revised its forecast from June 4 to June 7.

The Meteorological Department has predicted the normal monsoon for the weather.

There is a lot of heat in many parts of the country and in some parts the temperature is touching 50 degree Celsius.

The arrival of monsoon is likely to give some relief from the scorching heat.

Last month, while announcing the expected monsoon arrival in Kerala, the IMD had said that it could happen on June 6, as well as an error margin of plus or minus four days.
