Murder Or Suicide? Man Found Dead In Andheri

Mumbai: Vicky Ganji, a post-graduate in management, was found dead in his first floor flat at Andheri between 8:30 pm to 9 pm on Monday. The 33-year-old was shot down with a bullet and no other evidence was found. His father on hearing the sound, rushed to the house only to find his son covered in blood. The victim lived in a four-storeyed Mhada building named Narmada Co-operative Housing Society, with his brother and father.

Oshiwara police suspect that it is a murder, but the investigation is still on.

“Ganji was a divorcee and was unemployed, and used to consume drugs. He was alone at home when the incident occurred. It is unclear if it is a murder or suicide. There is a bullet injury below Ganji’s chest,” said a police officer.

While the incident took place Vicky’s father was on the ground floor when he heard the sound. He went upstairs and found his son lying in a pool of blood. He called the neighbors for help and they then informed the police. He was being taken to the Cooper hospital were he declared dead.

Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Pranay Ashok said,” The father rushed upstairs after he heard a firecracker like sound coming from his flat.”
